Coming to seek Beth’s help was the last thing Kent
wanted to do. He was fighting to save the Blue Eagles,
the Air Force’s premier air demonstration team, as well
as trying to escape the memory of a tragedy. He knew he
couldn’t accomplish either without her. Like it or not,
she might be the only chance the Eagles had to remain
airborne. When she agreed, he could hardly believe his
ears.
Both vow not to get involved beyond a professional
level, but the more they see each other, the more they
fall in love. Attraction soon swirls around and their
love explodes, threatening his career and her peace of
mind.
But it is through working together to save the Blue
Eagles that both Beth and Kent come to realize they are
facing their best chance for the most daring undertaking
of all: love.

Excerpt:
"Still staring at the the office
tower, Kent wondered which window was Beth's. In his
mind's eye, he pictured a woman with pale blond hair,
porcelain skin and extraordinary blue eyes sitting at a
desk, unaware of what was awaiting her. A fresh pang of
uneasiness shot through him with the thought. Bethany
Clarke was a walking reminder of too many things in his
life; painful things, exciting things, things that
changed and things that remained the same.
He wasn't anxious to see her again, but the notorious
Congresssman Clancey with her sharp budget cutting axe
left him no choice. He would have to keep that in mind
over the next few weeks if he was going to pull this
off.
Five years. A heck of a long time. He couldn't help
wondering if those years had changed Bethany Clarke as
much as they had changed Kent McReynolds.
